Funeral services were held at Trinity Episcopal church with Rev Charles Russell Peck officiating. Burial followed at Sleepy Hollow cemetery.
Twenty six veteran members of Maynard Lodge No 131 10 C F will be honored at Odd Fellows hall for the first Veteran s Night. An entertainment by Miss Sommerville s dancers Mae Newman Grace Olsen and the Odd Fellows quartette. Refreshments to follow. Members to receive year buttons range from 30 to 45 years.

Pola Gwouds daughter of Mr and Mrs Adam Gwozds of Nashua and John Bundalavitch of Maynard Clinton were married at St Mary Clinton Tuesday in a ceremony attended by relatives. Bundalavitch a 1928 Waunegan Central High graduate, active in drama, will reside here after a wedding tour.
Mrs Margaret Crotty died Thursday night after a long illness at age 77 in Maynard. She was born in Newfoundland and settled in Maynard about 30 years ago. Survived by daughters Mrs Henry Tobin Mrs William Rei Mrs John Gow and Mrs Daniel Carew and sons Michael and Joseph. A requiem was held at St. Bridget's Church with burial in St. Bridget's cemetery.
Thursday the corps of teachers took the children on a picnic to Flint Hill. The outing was thoroughly enjoyed despite the intense heat. Friday evening the school held an exhibition of two weeks’ work, and each child received a diploma. Mrs Beckett awarded prizes for perfect attendance and excellent work to three girls and three boys. The Concord New Hampshire Red Cross production committee led by Mrs. Ross K Whiton reports 360 garments made this winter with 10 knitted sweaters five pairs of knitted socks for children five pairs for men and three knitted caps. Out of these 189 garments were given to Concord residents and 60 layettes to Berlin New Hampshire. Sweaters and bed socks were sent to the United States Veterans Hospital in Bedford and 35 seen bags were prepared for men overseas.
