In civic news Judge Keyes orders Henry Lahonen sent to Westboro asylum and Magdalene chapter O E S to install officers Jan 29 with Boston officials in attendance.

W C Robbins received another carload of horses. Sunday features with Miss Edith McKenzie. Road commissioners improve Assabet sidewalks. Masquerade ball in Music Hall Maynard Friday night touted as a grand spectacle with costumes and electrical effects. Knights of Columbus comic opera The Wonderful Land of Man shows at Tremont Boston Wednesday night with Miss Helen Hosen of Concord in the lead.
Thursday night D. D. G. M. 8. P. Brown and suite installed Concord lodge officers led by N. G. Frank Harris and W. G. Daniel A. Lakin. Hawthorne lodge installed Willow Rebekah officers with N. G. Josephyne A. Curtis and remarks by D. D. G. M. and suite.
Local items include extended business travel by Thomas Hollis and illness confinement of Minnie L Coolidge. Mrs Edmund Phelan hosted relatives. a whist gathering at Mrs John E Lawrence's home. Vesper service and post office carrier changes announced in Concorde. Funeral of James D Tanner held. Mt Auburn interment. Upcoming concert by Austin Foote and Anna Miller Wood. Harmony lodge installation and banquet. Missionary society officers elected. monthly supper and evening entertainment planned.
In Maynard a Red Sunday observance drew several hundred members to a street parade and a Cooperative Hall gathering. Speakers W Niskanen Alex Halonen and Laitinen addressed the crowd as music and songs complemented the program with a largely attended meeting.
Judge Forbes allows the will of William Maynard for probate after a hearing. Amory Maynard opposed the probate. John H White testified as the sole Maynard witness. The decision grants 30 days to appeal.
