Captain Walter E Beatteau of Lexington road commanded U S Springfield during the first series of sea trials. The cruiser, hauled out at Bethlehem Steel East Boston for hull inspection, will be refurbished at Fore River Yard before a second trial in February. Concord Motorist Faces Court Complaints In Local Violations
East Cambridge man John J. Mc Carthy 41 of Adams Road appeared in Superior Court to answer three minor motor vehicle violations and use of profanity alleged by Concord and Stoneham police. He pleaded not at the jury waived trial before Judge rank J Donahue. He was convicted on all charges in Concord District Court previously and appealed.
