Concord plans another weekend cinema event with Vacation movies shown Friday at 2 45 at Harvey Wheeler School Auditorium and Saturday at 2 at the high school cafeteria. The recreation commission sponsors the program and invites all local youngsters to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Lamson of 68 Belknap street observed their silver wedding anniversary with an open house on the holiday. About 35 friends and relatives from Newton and Waltham attended. Mrs. Lamson, the former Margaret Whitney, is a former Peter Bulkley School teacher.
Concord officials report population and classroom growth require two new schools. The Bedford Road area is identified for the next unit, with a second in the Nine Acre Corner area. A sites and water sewer review, press releases, and a town meeting presentation plan were discussed.

He argues for active leadership and cross‑department cooperation to improve care of Concord's three historic cemeteries and better town management. Eldridge, a World War II veteran of 16 years in Concord, is employed by Raytheon. his wife Reba teaches in the public schools and daughter Miriam is a high school freshman.
Voters in Concord are urged to read mail labeled Postal Patron Local as many discard such notices. By March 1 residents will receive a blue ink informational sheet to help clarify thinking before the town election on March 7. League of Women Voters of Concord sponsors the notice.
Alan Fourtier and Lewis White, inmates at the Massachusetts State Prison in West Concord, received 7 to 10 year sentences for assaulting officer Leo Farley on October 23. Hurley imposed the sentence in Middlesex County Superior Court East Cambridge. Farley, off duty, suffered a fractured neck after being struck with chairs while ordering the pair out of a shower. Fourtier and White were already serving terms for prior crimes.
Over the weekend 22 inmates at the Massachusetts Reformatory in West Concord were hospitalized for a mild virus. Supt. Edward S. Grennan and physician Dr. R. E. Hooper of Maynard treated the cases. The report notes the global variety of languages spoken locally and worldwide.

Concord police picked up 14 year old David Baker of Sharon who had run away. Officers Sgt Fred Nolan and Patrolman Dominic Pagano found him thumbing a ride on Route 2 at 1 30 am and notified his parents Mr and Mrs Elvin Bunker who brought him home. The boy had been missing since Thursday and had spent the prior night at a Lake Winnipesaukee cottage in New Hampshire.
Concord candidates for town offices may hold an informal reception before Town Affairs Night on March 3 at the Veterans Building. Those in the March 7 election can greet voters from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. prior to the discussion.
