Concord resident Ebber Flannery 45 died when a six ton bulldozer toppled while being loaded onto a trailer at 41 Belknap street. He was a WWII veteran and former athlete. Last rites were held at St. Bernard's Church with burial at Dee's Funeral Home. He is survived by his widow Rosella Ready Flannery, father Edward W. Flannery, three brothers and three sisters.
Members of William s latest driver education class at Concord High School completed their driving tests with registry inspector present. New drivers include John Charles Campabasso Doris Keilly William Robinson Shirley Beharrel Cheryl Smeth Purcell Norman Weld Frank Scimone.

Goodwin H. Carlson 53, Cambridge native and former West Concord resident, died last Thursday. Funeral was held at Berglind Funeral Home Arlington with committal at Sleepy Hollow in Concord. He worked for Polaroid and was married to Vivian Lyon. he leaves a daughter Barbara J. Heaton of Boston, a brother Norman Carlson of Littleton, and two sisters Esther Evans of Maynard and Lillian Mogan of West Concord.
Concord reports the James J. Mansfield Post and Ladies Auxiliary will host Past Presidents Night and Past Commander's Night on Thursday February 24 at 6 30 PM. Leo White from South Acton will cater dinner and Dr Louis A Warren will speak on Abraham Lincoln.

Concord announces the last registration session before the March 7 town election and March 14 annual meeting. New voters may register at the Town House on Tuesday February 15 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. After 10 p.m. no registrations until after March 14.
Walter Gordon Whitman 59 of NaShawtuc road and Homi Jehangir Bhabha 45 of Bombay are named to attend the first world scientific conference of atoms for peace in Geneva next August. The U N sponsored meeting will hear scientists estimate prospects for nuclear fever in 25 to 50 years.
The Concord Lions club sponsors the General Radio glee club for a local debut on Wednesday April 13 at 8 p m in Concord Academy hall. Tickets go on sale soon. Past President Leonard E Rae chairs the committee and reservations are limited.
Concord psychologist Dr Robert W White will headline the next lecture on February 28 at the Girl Scout House. His topic is The Dangers of Social Adjustment and the event follows a well received earlier talk by Dr W E Blatz.
