Infant Swallows Open Safety Pin in Stow
In Stow on a recent week a 17 month old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fréd Strong, swallowed an open safety pin. Dr Raymond Hooper performed an operation and removed the pin from the child’s eye. The child is reportedly recovering at Emerson hospital.

Widow Idonia Barrett Dies Suddenly in Concord
Mrs. Idonia L Barrett widow of railroad engineer George B Barrett of Framingham died suddenly Wednesday at Emerson Hospital after a brief illness. Born March 1870 in Bradford Vermont she lived in Framingham until 1923 then moved to West Concord to live with nephew Henry A Johnson and wife at 102 Commonwealth Ave. She belonged to the West Concord Woman's Club and the Ladies Union of West Concord Union Church and was active in Hawthorne Chapter Order of the Eastern Star awaiting initiation Feb 12. Burial was at Mansfield without funeral services. She leaves her nephew and a niece Miss Jane Knight both of 102 Commonwealth Ave.

Lexington air mail pilot killed in Conn crash
Crey T. Pridham, 30, of Lexington, an air mail pilot, died when his plane struck an observation platform in fog and crashed into the Connecticut River. The wreckage indicates he was killed instantly by a fractured skull. his death is mourned by family as he was regarded among the service's skilled pilots.
