Maynard John McCarthy of 8 Pleasant Street died in his sleep Sunday night after a period of poor health. Born in Ireland he lived in town 60 years and is survived by one daughter Mrs William Weir and two sisters Miss Mary McCarthy of Medford and Mrs John Fletcher. A mason by trade he retired years ago. Funeral held this morning at Sc Bridget's church with a requiem mass at 9 o'clock. burial in St Bridget's Cemetery follows.

Boston Public Schools Accept Maynard-Mortimer H Reardon Teacher
Maynard Mortimer H Reardon, science teacher at the high school, has accepted a post in the Boston schools. Lawrence Lever, a Dart mouth College graduate, will fill Reardon’s position until year end. About ten percent of pupils were absent due to illness two weeks ago. the figure fell to five percent last weekend. Schools will vacation the week of February 18 to 25.

Kalle Paananen 46 of Maynard took his own life Saturday morning at his Dartmouth street home after a long illness. Born in Finland, he lived 26 years in town and worked as a weaver at the Assabet mill. Survived by wife Hilda Taskia Paananen two daughters in California brother Robert Paananen of Maynard and sister Mrs. Charles Helin of Stow. Funeral held this afternoon with burial in Glenwood cemetery.

Forbes Found Not Guilty In Concord Court
