Concord Town Meeting Authorizes Sale of Generating Machinery
A Wet gans meeting saw the Municipal Light Board authorized to sell the generating machinery used for electricity at the former plant in Concord. A $3300 surplus power bond retirement was debated by Judge Prescott Keyes, who opposed premium financing and the motion failed by voice vote. Remaining articles passed unanimously as the Water and Sewer Commissioners coordinated line transfers to the Municipal Light Board and power sharing with the water system.

Hay Couple Marks 60th Wedding Anniversary in Concord
Saturday celebrated the 60th anniversary of Mr and Mrs Hay longtime Concord residents living with daughter Mrs Esther Aubrey in North Haven Connecticut. They joined a reception at the Methodist church and noted their Sweden wedding and arrival in the U.S. about 29 years ago. Mr Hay, now in his eighties, left his Walden Street sh de repair shop last fall. Mrs Hay, 88, active in the Methodist Episcopal church and a former WCTU member. The Hay family includes four generations with five sons three daughters 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Maynard Citizens Committee Formed At Local Meeting
Maynard residents organized a Maynard Citizens Committee at a daytime meeting held near Maynard High School. Mercer of the Woolen Company chaired the session. James Coughlan led as chairman with Rev Mathew Vance as secretary and Harold Morgan as assistant secretary. Advisory members from Allan Hall and Harry Templeton joined to draft bylaws and a constitution to be reported at the next Monday night gathering in the high school auditorium.
Installation of Hawthorne Chapter Matron Highlights a Grand Ceremony
The event featured Mrs Stone Dye of West Concord praised as Worthy Matron with Grand Officers present. Clara Willis installed her daughter as Worthy Matron while Carrie Dye assisted as chaplain. Isabel Barnes attended to support her son Paul Barnes as Worthy Patron. A roast beef supper followed and a reception honored the new officers including Charlotte Rodway and Carrie Cushing.

Miss Mary Primigno of Dedham wed Dominic Muccacco on Sunday afternoon at St Mary’s church Dedham Rev Fr O officiated in a ceremony attended by relatives and friends. Bridesmaid Lucy Musarelli and best man John Veleno stood as the newlyweds received gifts and a large reception followed with many Maynard guests. The groom, president of Roma Lodge Sons of Italy of Maynard, will reside on Glendale street.

Boundary Line Perambulation by Maynard Selectmen
Maynard selectmen marked the town boundary Friday with markers bearing the letter M and the year 1930. The perambulation, conducted every five years by surrounding towns Acton Stow Concord Sudbury, involved officials from each town placing boundary markers on their side. Automobile Crash Near Worcester Claims Three Lives
In a Maynard area incident Horace Prescott of Bedford reported a car crash on Mill Road near the American Legion office. Three occupants were swept into the rivers after the vehicle left the road and fences, with rescuers and associates of Prescott involved in the aftermath. Survivors include Esther and Hope Prescott.
