The executive committee of the Telephone Co authorized dollars 25,985 to place extensive underground and aerial cables and poles in the Acton exchange. The project covers 46 036 feet of aerial cables with 102 to 202 wires and 832 feet of underground cables with 102 to 202 wires, plus 137 poles.Removal will include 2720 feet of aerial cables, 22950 pounds of covered wire, 4350 pounds of iron wire and 193 poles. Funeral services held for Carleton Collier Butters in Concord
The funeral for Carleton Collier Butters of Concord was conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Firet Parish Church vestry, with burial in Sleepy Hollow. Born August 8, 1877, in Concord, he moved to Boston decades ago, worked at Well, Grew & Co and later ran his own business in Tremont Building, Boston. He was Harvard 1899, never married, and survived by an aunt and a cousin. Concord schools closed for Christmas vacation, resuming January 5.
