True Christmas Gift Program At West vn PTA

West Valley Parent Teachers Association held a Christmas program titled A True Christmas Gift by Bawara Loughlin. The Boys Glee Club sang, hymns were sung by the audience, Irma Durkee accompanied on piano and Miss Chase on violin. After entertainment, cream and cake were served and dancing followed for two hours. New members are joining slowly with hopes for more active parental involvement for child welfare.

A police action at a barber shop uncovered bottles of liquor and a yellow jug, leading to charges of keeping liquor with intent. Chief Ryan and officers bound the suspect over on the charge with bonds set at $200 each.

Dr Charles Towne Dead After Long Career in Concord

Dr Charles Sheridan Towne died December 22 in Concord after practicing in Boston and Concord since 1891. He leaves a widow two daughters Marion and Lois a sister Lilian M Town Bowdoin School master and a brother William a photographer. Funeral held Tuesday at 2 PM with Beethoven Quartet offering music. buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
