The James J. Mansfield Post 158 A L brought a 60 piece Imli orchestra led by Joan McWaller to Groton hospital to entertain 140 soldiers. They presented a year of periodicals and cigarettes for the men and Auxiliary president Miss Mary Flavin led a group with a cake and knitted gifts. The joint effort brightened a Sunday in Groton.

Maynard officials report the new Main Street Bridge will open to traffic Thursday or Friday. Selectmen pledge extra cleanups to finish project items before Christmas. Cargo remained stored since work began. gravel top laid now with macadam planned in spring. Frosted rail spots drew comment. construction chief Mr. Kelley says rails not yet finished but will be safely completed and credit to the structure.

Order Elects Officers and Plans January Banquet

Grange Notes Election of Chaplain and transfers

South Acton report says Figtoher met with an accident while traveling to work at Lothrdp Thursday morning. Night’s storm left ice dangerous and Mr Fletcher fell and fractured his wrist. Doctor treated the injury.

Grace Eudora Worster Dies at 60 in Acton Home
Grace Eudora Worster wife of George Worster died at her School Street home on Sunday December 10 at age 60 years 8 months 21 days. Born March 19 1872 in Acton she was a graduate of Acton Haigh School and long served as a caregiver through illness in family life. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church parlor led by Rev Ralph A Barker with many friends and relatives present. She is survived by husband George Worster daughter Mrs Ella Day and others and was interred at Mount Hope cemetery.
