Maynard residents Mr. and Mrs James Garfield Mallinson mark fifty years of marriage in their home behind the one they were wed in. Born in Ballardvale on December 14 1861 Mallinson worked in Talbot mills North Billerica and Lowell before settling in Maynard in 1881. He served as overseer of the picking room at Assabet Mill for fifty years retiring in 1931. A tenor, he sang in Maynard Congregational and local Methodist churches for twenty five years. The couple have eight children five living and seven grandchildren with two great grandchildren. The Enterprise sends season’s greetings and best wishes for a merry Christmas and new year.
More than 100 children attended the Tegion Auxiliary Christmas party at Odd Fellows hall. Santa Claus handed out gifts from an illuminated tree while candy and refreshments enhanced the festive mood. A committee led by Eva Ever and others organized the event.

Both sentences run concurrently. Bn Marino of Hudson placed on two years probation. Judge Nelson P. Brown presided in East Cambridge Superior Court.
On Christmas Eve Maynard presents a one act Christmas play in the Parish hall of St George's church under Young Peoples Fellowship with Rev Burdette Landsdowne presiding. Cast includes William Palmer Ralph Lent Roy Lent Bernard Priest Donald Priest George Waterhouse. Carols by Young Peoples Fellowship directed by Mrs Harold Taylor. A midnight service at 11 30 features eucharistic service sermon by the rector and choir music. Also Holy Communion at 9 30 with Junior Choir carols. A Christmas afternoon carol service and story will be directed by Mrs Burdette with church school members acting as angels and readers.

Jas F King a former chemist and ballistic expert who worked with Borland in Concord for years died of pneumonia. Born in St Louis about 65 years ago he moved to Concord and later ran a pool hall. Survived by his wife Mary Page. services conducted at Trinity Church with Masons in attendance.
The Sunday afternoon cantata The Story of Christmas was presented at the Maynard Methodist Church directed by Miss Hazel Hooper with soloists Eva Duckworth Adelaide Sims Elmer Cook and Alan Palmer assisted by the church choir. The church school Christmas party followed Saturday evening with Rev Baron B Marshall delivering a brief address.
