George Hooper longtime superintendent of the American Powder Co. plant on Powder Mill Road died Friday evening after Brights disease and heart trouble. Born in Sudbury, later Maynard, he served as Powder Co. chief until retirement on New Year’s Day. Survived by son Wilfred and daughter Hazel, a brother William, and sister Mrs. Cora Gove.
