Hong Kong stamps to honor Queen Elizabeth II
Hong Kong will issue a special commemorative stamp on June 2, 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The 10 cent stamp will match other colonial issues in design and will not replace all stamps bearing King George VI’s portrait by coronation day.

Total raised in the Jun ior Red Cross appeal reached 45.34 dollars in Bedford. The Bedford Civil Defense Agency will open Fridays 8 to 9 PM for on site assistance. United Workers of the Church of Christ hosted an air day sewing program for Emerson Hospital led by Mrs. Howard F. Davis. Lunch was served by Mrs. Edward F. Pike and Mrs. Earl B. Atwood. The devotional service was led by Mrs. Marvin L. By. Mrs. Pike presided at the business session. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Martin celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on December 1.
