Mrs James Burke Dies in Lexington After Illness
Mrs James Burke formerly of this town died at her home in Lexington on Thursday December 5 after a short illness with pneumonia. She was wife of James Burke son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Burke of Lexington. Burial at St Bridgits Church Lexington followed by high mass. Interment at St Bernards Cemetery Concord. Survived by husband six children oldest 11. Also sister Mrs Henry McCaffery of Somerville. Community offers sympathy.

Mrs Margaret Nevins of Putnam Connecticut had resided in Maynard for 16 years. Survived by husband and four sisters and a brother. Funeral services were at St Bridgets church Friday morning with a requiem mass by Rev Maward F Crowley. Bearers named James Dwyer Charles Wollerschied John Wollerschied Henry Morrison Joseph Donohue. Interment at St Bridget Cemetery amid floral tributes and community esteem.

Sergeant James Ryan Discharged From Depot Brigade
Sergeant James Ryan of the 23rd Company Depot Brigade was honorably discharged last week after nearly five months in camp. Inducted into the first quota from this district, he had been commissioned earlier and was slated for an officers training course, which ended with the armistice. His comrades presented him a gift before departure. Ryan is at his mother Mrs. Margaret Byam’s home on Railroad Street.
