Rooster Theft Case Leads to Probation in Superior Court
Joseph Dinsmore of Acton, known as Old Black Joe, appeared in Middlesex Superior Court East Cambridge on a plea of guilty to stealing a rooster. Judge James A. Sisk ordered probation after Assistant District Attorney Volpe and notable officials reviewed the case. Police said neighbors saw Dinsmore shooiing a rooster along railroad tracks. the rooster’s whereabouts were not established.

Timothy B Moynihan of Maynard died suddenly at home on Friday November 28 at age 48. He served 26 years in the local post office and as assistant postmaster, was first grand knight of Maynard Council K of C, and a fourth degree member. He is survived by wife Bila ODea Moynihan, four sisters and one brother. Funeral at St Bridget's Church featured a high requiem mass and a large funeral cortege to burial in the family lot.
