Frank E S Best longtime Sudbury resident and respected figure dies at home in his 81st year after a three week illness. Born December 31 1848 to Thomas and Keziah Bent he was a stone mason and farmer. He leaves wife Emma Bent, three daughters Sarah Cerant Weston Charles Portasse Weston Florence Bent visiting California, and siblings. He belonged to the Methodists Masonic bodies the Royal Arch and Knights Templar and Sudbury Grange. He served as town treasurer until 1907 and was constable for over 50 years. Funeral planned Saturday private.

Funeral Held for George O Brien in Westminster Parish
Funeral services were held Friday morning at 11 o clock for George O Brien of Maynard who was killed in an automobile accident near Westminster. The Tequiém was celebrated in the parish, with bearers Joseph Allen Nicholas Driscoll Daniel Ayer Martin Petersen and Stanbridge attending. Burial followed in the parish cemetery in Ayer. Log-Cabin Fire Destroys Cottage On Walnut Street
Fire at Walnut Street cottage, occupied by vacationists, caused about 1500 dollars in damage. Fire chief Melvin attributes the blaze to smoldering ashes from a fireplace after visitors cleaned the cabin prior to departure.
