Lieut Dorothy Mara and Lieut Mary Mara, Army nurses and sisters, arrived home from Europe after serving together in England and Ireland. Daughters of Mrs Mary A Mara of Bedford Street, they enlisted over two years ago. Their two brothers, Mark III and Robert M Mara, remain in service while Edward Mara is honorably discharged.
The Concord Lions Club drew a crowd for a bi monthly meeting at 6 30 PM at the Old Mill Dam tea room site after it closed. The event included a corn toast and outdoor cookout held at Sure 3 Law office with Lat Moreau and President MacRae present.

Dr Howard E Robinson associate medical examiner was called to MacRae Funeral home in Concord. He was born February 2, 1900 in Part IE woo and was widely known as a professor in Concord.

Miss Patsy Ginderly aged 77 of 77 Main Street returned from a week long vacation spent at her former home in Winthrop.
