The Willard family association plans its annual reunion in Concord with members from Maine to California. The next meeting announced a corn roast and clambake at a Gardner Street camp on August 24 at 6:30 PM.
Concord Union and Union churches continue Sunday worship with 8 and 9 30 o clock services at St Anne s Lincoln and Masty church. First Parish and Trinitarian Congregational church also hold services at 9 30 o clock each Sunday.
Louis E. Boutwell, sheriff of County, a World War I and World War II veteran, spoke at a Lions Club meeting. He discussed Concordiff Boutwell’s role and the 67th Fighter Wing covering New England.
Concord police continued a juvenile sweep after a series of car break ins in the Lakeview area. Four more youths from Somerville were arraigned. two cousins received one year suspended sentences, and the other two were placed on probation for one year by Judge Pierre A. Northrop.
Amid damp weather last Friday the West Concord Freak Show drew costumes and prizes with 35 signups for the Long Lake trip to Littleton. Winners included Sally Ann Loughlin and Alice Spellman among others, as preparations continue for Friday’s departure.
Nine youths from the Brighton Roxbury districts will appear in Cob ra District Court in Concord on Friday morning at 9 o'clock for further arraignment in connection with an assault and robbery case involving portable machines and electric equipment. Further details were not released.
