The Norwood Legion Band, state champions, will hold its annual concert exchange with Concord Friday evening at West Concord center. On Tuesday evening, the Concordian Band visits Norwood for its weekly concert with Norwood under Mr Frizeé directing.
The Légion of Valor members attending their 47th reunion in Boston visited Concord on a sightseeing bus tour last Tuesday. They appeared impressed by the historical sites and architecture during the daylight excursion.
Raymond Cull aged 47 died Friday August 6 at Doe Hospital Concord after a brief illness. He lived in Concord all his life and worked 33 years with the Boston and Maine Railroad. Survived by wife Gladys Hagerty and children Ra V 23, Rw 17, Virginia, Robert 12, mother Mrs Joan Cull of Belmont, three brothers and six sisters. Solemn High Mass of Requiem held August 9 at St Bernard's Church assisted by priests of the Dominican Order. Burial in St Bernard's Cemetery.
Olph Peterson aged seven? notes unclear OCR. Born in Norway, he came to this country in 1883 and was a Concord resident for years. Survived by wife Marie Anderson, one son Peverill O of Concord, one daughter Mrs John Webber of Swampscott, one brother Lars of Wellesley and four grandchildren. Funeral details not announced.

Three seventeen year old boys from South Boston faced court for stealing over 100 ears of corn. Judge Howard As Wilson found them guilty of larceny and ordered them held on bond before appearing in Cone Court. Each boy was fined around ten dollars and the corn was returned to the owner.
John W. Brigham arrives in Bigland as a delegate to the International Liberal Conference representing the American Unitarian Association. One of five selected, he stays at Oxford and admires the English countryside. He left Concord on July 22 and will be abroad about four weeks, planning a Holland visit.
Twenty three local fishermen left Monument Street at seven Sunday morning for a day on the water planned by Winthrop Puffer. The group included Dana Witherbee who won two dollars for catching two gar, Leslie Anderson who took four dollars for largest catch, Maurice Jenney who earned seven dollars for the largest fish, and others such as Martin Smarup William Magoon Eimer and Casper Jenney.
