Dana Brooks Clark longtime Concord resident dies at home
Dana Brooks Clark, a Concord native and railroad veteran, died at his Lowell Road home after months of ill health. Born February 28, 1858, son of Daniel Brooks and Mary Clark, he worked as a locomotive engineer for the Boston and Maine railroad before turning to farming. He leaves his wife Hattie Rowe, daughter Gladys Clark, two sons Dana Jr. and Benjamin, a brother Lyman, and sister Eula Mason. Funeral services were held at his Lower Road home with burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Concord Tents Club Defeats Lexington 5-2 in League Match
In Stowst on new courts of the Old Colony Tennis League Concord Tents Club edged Lexington Tennis Club 5-2. Four singles were won by Concord with scores 6-4 108, 7-5 6-3, 6-4 6-2 and 6-2, plus two doubles wins. Doubles Lynch and Keyes beat Burth and Morse 1-6 9-7 and Raymond and Allan lost to Amn and Booth 6-2 6-2.

Concord Boy Scouts Head to Camp Nuseuponsett
The Concord boy scouts depart Sunday for a two week stay at Camp Nuseuponsett in North Dana Massachusetts near Athol. The organized camp run by a council offers training in swimming first aid handicraft and hygiene with all boys signed up for the two weeks of activities. Mrs Howard P Swift and family drove from Canterbury Massachusetts to Mattapoisett Massachusetts last Friday covering about 150 miles and plan to stay at the shore until mid October.

Cambridge man Brown jailed for stolen car crash arrest
George J. Brown of Cambridge was arrested after a car he stole crashed into the Boston and Maine overhead bridge on Main Street. He was later sentenced in the Concord District Court to the Concord Reformatory for larceny. Two accomplices fled. Police chased the fleeing vehicle but Brown was captured. he had been held on $100 bail.
