Miss Eithel Murphy visits relatives in Waltham while Lester Tompkins and others travel to Springfield and Medford. Walter OConnell joins the Hospital corps. White's garage takes on Royden Bass. Grange picnic set for Norumbega Park. a big fire at New England Nursery Co. West Bedford destroys two buildings valued at $10,000.

Clifford Challis works as a motorman on the Lexington and Boston Street Railway. Edna Tubman of Hast Milton now resides with Mr and Mrs John Bowers on Hartford Street. Mrs Walter King, formerly of Bedford, spent a week with her sister Mrs Myron Waite on Crescent Ave. Zelma Wetherbee returned home to Crescent Ave after a two week vacation in Windsor New Hampshire. A season’s most interesting play, The Parish Priest, was staged at Lexington Park all week. The Catholic Truth Guild will hold its first town meeting Wednesday evening with many expected to attend.
Fire destroyed principal shipping buildings at the New England Nurseries and nearly wiped out the plant. Fire Chief Blake faced water supply problems until hose lines reached from nearby brooks after help from Lexington and Concord. Recovery and rebuilding are planned, highlighting the need to extend Concord road water mains to prevent future losses.
A riot alarm prompted a large crowd to search for two boys believed lost from the home they were visiting on Springstd. The boys were found safe but did not inform hosts of their intention to return to Boston.
The Woman's Relief corps No 62 with important business on the agenda will meet on the first Monday in August replacing the usual third Monday. Be J Jewett has bought a Maxwell car for business. OC Mead Co introduce a new 1917 Ford delivery car. Chas Twitchell's house is being slated by Edward Slate Co Fitchburg. Camping notes include Willie Smiley Orland Spinney Stuart MacGregor at Fort Pond and Parker family at Lake Boon for two weeks. Annie Benere Loominater on two week vacation at home.
The Concord chapter camps out at Hemlock Villa cottage of C G Durkee Fort Pond. The party includes Vera Pierce Helen Hanna Lucy Hancock Alvena Peterson Muriel Hewett Louise Whitney Bernice Everett Cornelia Hoff Mary Olsen Thelma Olsen Jennie Driscoll and Margaret Whitney. Chaperons are Mrs Fred Hewett Concord and Miss Irma Durkee West Acton.
The will dated October 21, 1907, names sister Charlotte M Carr of Sudbury as executrix. Estate valued at 9500 in real estate and 450 in personal property. Heirs at law are Charlotte Carr and Merrick Carr of Sudbury. Returnable at Watbos Bridge September 10. Attorney Winfield T Ple of Marlboro represents the executrix Hattie S B Denison of Boston files petition to be named co executrix.
