An overview explains pulmonary tuberculosis as the most common form causing 92 percent of cases. It notes transmission via coughing and spitting, the infection’s entry through the respiratory tract, and the battle between germs and the body's defenses. It highlights meningitis and miliary TB as severe types and credits streptomycin in treatment, plus a note on bone and joint TB largely reduced in children under five due to bovine strains.
Tuberculosis Control Through Testing and Pasteurization

It also credits compulsory milk pasteurization for reducing germ transmission. It warns TB spreads from active cases and suggests regular chest X rays and exams to detect early disease.
