Concord Homesick Horse Makes Six Mile Homeward Run
A horse owned by Raymond Emerson of Estabrook Road escaped overnight from the Ger ald Henderson barn in Lincoln and trotted back to its Concord home. The animal was unharnessed and reached near the First Parish church before being struck by a car driven by Sherman Forbes. It was treated by Dr. Alden H. Russell for a cut stomach and flank injury and returned home, seemingly none the worse for the six mile journey.

Concord and West Concord prepare for Poppy Days on April 19 20 21. Poppies crafted by Bedford Veterans Hospital veterans will be worn to honor the war dead and aid the disabled.
