Maynard high school's graduating class will receive scholarships from the Maynard Teachers Club. President Frediano D. Mattioli announced the grants of 150 and 100 dollars, funded by the club's successful activities. Past whist night honored Harold Sheridan, Truman Wood, and Mrs. William Fardy with smaller awards.
A free vaccination clinic will be hosted by the Board of Health at the Health Center Town Building on May 16 from 2 30 to 3 30 p m. Four-H girls from Lexington and Middlesex County gather May 19 at Cary Memorial War to display work for Blue Ribbons. The all day event features a dress review in the afternoon, exhibits, contests, and tours of Lexington. About 500 to 600 girls and leaders expected. public invited at 9:30 a.m.

Maynard and Mrs. George Edward White announce the engagement of their daughter Doris Marguerite to William Henry Milne son of Mrs Milne of Manhassett New York Miss White is a graduate of Regis College and attended Boston University Mr Milne served with the Army Air Force in the Pacific is a graduate of the University of Vermont and did graduate work at the University of New Hampshire They are teaching in New Hampshire and a June wedding is planned.
The Board of Health will run a free rabies protection dog clinic on Saturday morning May 5 from 9 30 to 11 30. Dr Stedman from Clinton and Josiah M Herrick will supervise with local animal inspector. Dogs should be immunized annually for full protection and cooperation of dog owners is urged to safeguard children and townspeople.
