West and South Water Supply District Annual Meeting Held
The West and South Water Supply district of Acton held its annual meeting April 6 at the Fire House hall with over 30 citizens present. Arthur M. Whitcomb was chosen moderator, Waldo E. Whitcomb reelected water commissioner for three years, H. Mead resigned as district clerk, and Lowell H. Cram was elected. The report was accepted. 186 residents use West Acton, 138 South Acton, 66 Acton Center, total 390. 1919 metered water totaled 12,862,265 gallons. Consideration of extending the system on the Stow road for four or five houses was estimated at 7,000 to 5,000 dollars or more, nearly $100 per taker yearly. the group opposed the cost and may revisit.
