Two School Records Fall at Concord Spring Meet
Emerson Playground saw two records shattered as Concord High and Alumni dominated events. Ricker set a new 4:54.4 in the mile, beating a 26 year old mark, while Capt Asbjornson improved the shot put to 44 ft 9.25 in. Alumni swept relays and several sprints, with Pickard leading high scoring, as six firsts for Alumni and five for the school unfolded under Weygant’s direction.

Palm Sunday was observed in Catholic and Protestant churches with palm distributions at St. Bernard Catholic and Our Help of Christians churches. Concord Man Killed as Tractor Crushes He on Truck
Lawrence W Bent 33 former World War lieutenant of Concord Junction died yesterday when a tractor on a truck toppled and pinned him between the machine and the trailer cab. Dr Edward Regan of Framingham aided at the scene but Bent was pronounced dead. He served with the 1st Pioneer Infantry and belonged to the Watertown Legion post.

Motorcycle crash kills New Bedford man in South Haston
Hugh Wainboldt of New Bedford formerly West Acton was killed last Monday when his motorcycle struck a car head on on the Boston and Providence road in South Haston while attempting to pass a truck. He leaves a wife and two daughters, mother, three brothers, and four sisters. funeral plans in New Bedford are noted.
