Postponed Town Meeting Set For April 22 In Concord

Concord town officials announce the adjourned annual town meeting will be held April 22. They recommend using the Veterans Building and Trinitarian Church main rooms connected by radio for a single, legally valid session, citing safety, funding, and transportation considerations.

Girl Scouts Present Trixteen at School Auditorium

Senior Girl Scouts staged the play Trixteen in the school auditorium Friday evening. Cast included Clara Fraser Carol Whnnamaker Isabelle Lettny Jane Dunn Joan Barrett Barbara Brolin Nancy Murray Nancy Webster and Patty Morse. Judy Braverman played piano between acts with understudies Judith Swanson and two faculty members from the school.

Retired B and M Conductor Fred C Earle Dies at 89

Fred C Earle 89 longtime Boston and Maine conductor died at his Lexington home last Saturday night. Funeral held Tuesday at Douglas Chapel with Rev. Douglas Percy Brayton officiating. A Vermont native married June 13 1888 to Carrie B Hall he leaves a son a daughter and three grandchildren. He lived in Lexington 58 years and retired a decade ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Theo dore B. Currier of Pine Street observed the ninth anniversary of their marriage on Sunday April 7. Mrs. Currier formerly Irene Violet Hellenius of Maynard. They wed in Concord by Rev Thurlow, former pastor of the Congregational church. They have son Theodore B Currier Jr and daughter Martha Violet Currier.

Bedford Wave Receives Honorary Discharge from Navy

Priscilla A. Currier of Bedford has received an honorary discharge from the U. S. Navy. She enlisted in 1944, trained at Hunter College, then San Diego, and served in Norfolk before discharge last week. She is the daughter of Mrs. Louise F. Currier and the late Rudolph W. Currier. Her two brothers served in the Concord unit in the South Pacific and in U S camps. The National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis estimates infantile paralysis hospital costs at about 2,500 dollars yearly, and an iron lung costs about 7,000 dollars.

Charles J Bowse of Laws Brook Road observed his 83rd birthday in quiet family settings. A longtime Concord resident of 46 years he worked in painting and paper hanging and fathered 10 children with seven still living including Archibald John James Lena Mary Gertrude Jeannette. He has 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Knights to Conduct First Degree at Concord Meeting

Concord council of Knights of Columbus will hold a first degree at Monument Hall next Tuesday evening April 16 at 8 15. Grand Knight Thomas J Burke Jr and officers will lead. Members recently hosted servicemen at state headquarters in Boston and the annual Communion Breakfast is set for April 28 or May 5 with Richard J Loughlin as committee chair.

Bedford Club Elects Mrs Teague for 1946 47

The Bedford Women's Community club held its annual meeting at Town hall with luncheon. Mrs Horace S Teague presided as president, and officers for 1946 47 were elected including vice president recording secretary and treasurer. The club reported charitable contributions to Boy Scouts and Red Cross and noted a membership of 110. After the business session a social hour with bridge followed.

Davison Family Completes 4000 Mile Southern Motor Trip

Mr and Mrs Everett H Davison of Lincoln aged locals return from a four thousand mile journey along the South and Eastern seaboard. They traveled through New York Pennsylvania Gettysburg and the Carolinas visiting Thomas Jefferson home and reports perfect food and spring scenery along the route. They were joined by Mrs Arthur Rogers of Boston. Weasles are found throughout the United States.

Bedford Man Passes Away in Lowell

BedfordMorris R. Eisenhauer aged 52 son of Mrs J H Eisenhauer of South street died in Lowell on Wednesday. He was born in Nova Scotia. Besides his mother he leaves his wife Lillian Ballard Eisenhauer of Welsh La two sons Richard Eisenhauer of Long Beach Calif and Raymond Eisenhauer of West Concord four daughters Mrs Abe Sil verman of North Hollywood Calif Mrs Burdett Watson of Los Angeles Calif and Mrs Frederick Hart Jr of West Concord four grandchildren and three brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held at the Trinitarian church in Concord with Rev John E Wallace officiating. The burial was in Shawsheen cemetery Bedford.
