On Sunday April 12 at 11 o clock Rev John Elmo Wallace D D minister of First Church Springfield formerly pastor of the Trinitarian Congregational Church of Concord will preach at the local church. This return marks his first morning sermon here since leaving in September 1949 after a six year pastorate. He also serves as Concord Rotary Club chaplain and earned a doctor of divinity from Springfield College in June last year.
The Concord Lions Club will hold its next regular supper meeting on Tuesday night April 14 at 6 30 at the Howard Johnson Restaurant. President Robert D Parks will preside and Past President Rothwell N MacRae will announce the program.

Captain William F. Skidmore, veteran artillery officer from Birmingham, Alabama, is appointed commanding officer of Headquarters Battery, 15th AAA Group, at Fort Banks in Winthrop. His career spans World War II Europe, the Korean campaign, and Joint Task Force Three A-bomb exercise. He holds Bronze Star and other honors. he and his wife Esther Windhol of Concord have four children.

The troop pursues recruiting and forms patrols for May June camporee and camporal. Camp Oak work weeks ends planned in Bedford. Oliver reports 500 place mats sold for jamboree fund plus about 200 raised in scrap drives to aid the fund. volunteers may call Concord 4231 or leave metal or paper at the scout entrance.
Monthly meeting of the Catholic Daughters of America to be held at the church hall Tuesday night April 14 at 8 o clock. Mrs Aghes Connors grand regent will preside. Esso moving pictures of Bermuda and Virginia to be shown. Co chairmen are Mrs Margar ite Dalton and Mrs Annie C Baptiste. Refreshments to be served.

Concord Council Knights of Columbus No 287 met at Monument Hall. Grand Knight Leonard J. Wetherbee and officers conferred degrees on several candidates. Plans were discussed for a May minstrel show and an April 21 Your Night event featuring Bill Linskey, Cambridge public schools trainer.
The Middlesex Union Association of Churches holds its annual meeting at Trinitarian Congregational Church on Sunday afternoon April 12 at 3 o'clock. The evening service is at 7 30 with guest speaker Rev. William J Hamilton of West Roxbury Congregational Church.
