Gas mains upgrade planned for August first

Boston Consolidated Gas proposes to extend gas mains to Concord Sudbury and Weston towns by a temporary line. The project includes new gas mains service, modern room heaters refrigerators and incinerators. A community briefing will explain the plans and local residents may contact the Gas Head for details.

Anniversary party for Mrs Willian Dalia noted

A 14th anniversary gathering was held at the home of Mrs Blanchard Weaver in Edinstow Ard on Saturday night. Guests included Flora Sinphine Leard Ella Crow Lester and many others. A special anniversary cake by Tight of Worcester highlighted the event and prizes were awarded for games and whist.

Local group to distribute funds from game commission

Doctor Richardson 90 Years Old at Concord Inn

Rev. Dr Cyrus Richardson longtime Nashua pastor emeritus turned 90 in Concord on Sunday. He lives at the Colonial Inn with health frail but alert, celebrated with wife and large family including three daughters two sons and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was born in 1840 in Crecut Massachusetts and educated at Phillips Academy Andover Dartmouth Andover Theological Seminary and Dartmouth again for a DD in 1889. He served the Congregational Church from 1869 and as pastor emeritus after 1909 retirement, later assisting churches in New Hampshire and beyond.

Concord’s Mark Martin Loftus 96, longtime resident dies

Mark Martin Loftus of Concord dies at 96 after a life as a carpenter and former Concord Fire Department captain. He lived with his son Arthur at 24 Belknap Street and is survived by two sons, many grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral Mass was held at St Bernard’s Church with Rev Healey. burial at St Bernard’s Cemetery.
