Bristol Herald reports Judge Nathan Goff of the U.S. Circuit Court in Richmond sustained Mr Carter in all points against Union Trust Company of Maryland in a dispute over the Clinchfield Corporation sale. The court found the Bristol stockholder meeting null, upheld the Carter purchase as proper, and dissolved a temporary restraining order against appointing receivers.
