Dr. Thurman Morgan director of ministerial services at Brite College of the Bible Texas Christian University Fort Worth will be guest minister at Central Christian Church Comanche for the 11 o clock Sunday service. Joe H Tupin chairman of the board invites a full turnout of members and friends to hear him. A weekend visit from Grand Prairie pair included Will and Noland Burdette with children and local team spirits. A damp drizzle forced an indoor practice session and a skull session limiting outdoor work.
M/Sgt. George J. Dill of the U S Army Recruiting Service will be at the Comanche Post Office each Thursday at 2 00 p m to interview prospective applicants for enlistment. Sgt Dill invites inquiries for enlistment or general information.
The Junior High PTA will hold its annual rummage sale this Friday and Saturday in the Mc Donald Building between Durhams and Western Auto. Ladies should bring in old clothes Thursday or early Friday for preparation. Organizers promise big bargains.
About twenty five service station operators in Comanche will be honored at the Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet to be held Tuesday at Me's Cafeteria. Ted Durham says they are ambassadors of goodwill and key to informing travelers about the town. R H Breckenridge of Texas Power & Light will speak on making towns attractive for industry, following with an open forum on shopping holiday closings and Christmas trade.
Mrs John N McDonald of East Central Comanche was injured when her car and a second car from Dublin collided in the rain Saturday night. She suffered cuts and multiple fractures including a knee cap removal at the local hospital. The young man driver had minor injuries and Mrs McDonald may leave hospital early next week.
The Cmanche Garden Club will open the new club year Saturday morning September 28 with a coffee at 9:30 at Mrs. Herbert Williams home 801 North Lane. President Mrs. Darrell Smith urges all members to attend and help start another good club year.
The Braves, the B team of the Comanche Indians and on a two game win streak, host Brownwood B team Thursday night September 26 with kickoff at 7 30. Brownwood B defeated Breckenridge B 33 0 last week.

Fort Worth retiree Martin Wetzel, longtime barber, spent Monday in Comanche reconnecting with old friends. He previously practiced barber work in Fort Worth before 1919.
Mrs. Max Heidler and Mrs. Be atrice Cobb of Fort Worth visited their father J. M. Guthrie of Comanche over the weekend and attended the Sunday observance of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Guthrie of Sidney.
Gus Wilhelm left Monday for San Angelo to buy sheep. He has long visited West Texas ranches to select fine goats and sheep for resale in the Comanche area.
Investigating officers describe the burglars as middle class yeggs who cut through a stone wall and a vault door with a torch to take 3325 in silver coins from First State Bank of Gustine. Bank cashier I C Willingham reported the break in Friday morning as FBI and Texas authorities joined the probe.
