Tea Shower Honors Mrs Coulter at Floyd Prather Home
Mrs Coulter was feted with a tea shower on Saturday September 21 at the Floyd Prather home. Guests included Mrs Walter Durham Senior and Junior, Mrs Hill, Deanna Durham, Sharon Durham, and Jeanne Cagle. Centerpiece featured yellow mums and daisies, with crystal candelabras and a four tiered epergne. The couple now reside in Cisco where Mr Coulter attends Cisco Junior College and Mrs Coulter plans a children's dancing studio.

Reese Accepts Teaching Post at Texas Tech in Lubbock
John Haynes Reese, son of Mrs. Mary Reese of Comanche, has accepted a teaching position at Texas Tech in Lubbock. He will teach Business Law and is a graduate of Colorado City High School with a BA and Law degree from SMU. He recently served in the U.S. Army with the Judge Advocate General's office at Fort Hood. The Reese family now resides in Lubbock with wife and daughter Linda.

Charley Reed Dies Former Hasse Resident
Charley Reed of Levelland died in a Lubbock hospital on September 14. A longtime Hasse resident, he was born March 29, 1874 in Elkins Arkansas and moved to Texas in 1885. He leaves three sons Alex Reed Wellington Andy Reed Shamrock and Carl Reed Levelland, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, plus three brothers. Funeral services were held at the South Austin Street Church of Christ with interment in Whitharral Cemetery.

Comanche High School Band under T. R. Atwood will perform at the Erath County Fair in Stephenville Thursday afternoon and take part in a 4 15 parade. That evening the band will tour Tarleton and Kilgore Junior College and attend a 25 minute Rangerettes program before the game.
