Comanche High School's Junior Class sold two season football tickets in a raffle at halftime of the De Leon game. Mrs. Sue Mayers, CHS teacher, won. A chili supper is planned for Friday October 11 at the Jr High cafetorium from 6:00 PM until Hamilton game start, $2 for all you can eat with pickles onions and iced tea.

The Comanche County Law Enforcement Officers Association held its monthly meeting on Tuesday September 10 at the Fire Hall in Comanche. Officers named were Bill Works president Joe Wilie vice president Dale Nowlin secretary treasurer and Garvin Hendon program chairman. A water safety film followed a fish fry and an Eggen led Stephenville man hunt review. The group plans to meet next in De Leon hosted by Deputy Sheriff Garman and Police Chief Freeman.

Eagles Face Moran in Sept 19 High School Game
The Sidney Eagles travel to Moran for their second game of the season on Thursday. Kickoff is 7 30 p m. After a loss to Star the Eagles aim for a victory. Three freshmen start on both sides, plus one sophomore and one senior. Coach Baker says experience will grow as confidence increases.

Dr. Ben Wright Returns to Comanche Hospital Staff
Dr. Ben Wright has joined Comanche Community Hospital staff residing with his wife Gwen and daughter Lisa Maria at Rt. 2 Comanche. He practices with Dr. Roy and Dr. Dan Mims at the Medical Clinic, 211 South Austin. He trained at Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and did a General Surgery residency there from Sept 1950 to Sept 1953 and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. His other family members live in Irving Arlington and Flint Michigan, with son Dr. Michael F. Wright recently certified in Internal Medicine and due to arrive Sept 20 to affiliate locally.
