Cotton allotment rules curb under planting by growers
The office described conditions for farm allotments and required written applications if at least 75 percent of a 1960 cotton allotment was not planted. An exception existed if county committees found widespread under planting due to common local factors. If 75 percent remained unplanted in 1958 and 1959, farmers outside the area faced the same written filing and county committee review.
