Windham Is Sentenced to 30 Years for Tractor Theft

Hal Dean Windham of Valley Mills was convicted in Comanche County on a $10,000 plus theft tied to a July 1 1976 tractor theft from a farm near Rising Star. A 220th District Court jury gave a 30 year Texas Corrections term and remanded him to jail. The case, prosecuted by Leslie Vance, covers a three day trial with appeal planned by attorney Keith Woodley. Windham’s nephew Robert Windham also serves a prison term for a related tractor theft.
