Willie Carwile Dies in Newport News Pneumonia
Mrs. A. M. Carwile learns her son Willie, stationed at government works in Newport News Virginia, died of pneumonia after a prolonged illness. He belonged to the Machine Gun Troop of the Cavalry, Texas National Guard, and his death prompts sympathy to his mother and sisters.

City Marshal Resigns. J B Arther Replaces
City Marshal W W Cox resigned last week to become a deputy sheriff appointed by Mr Miller, taking effect immediately. At the regara meeting on Monday night J B Arther was elected to the marshal post and began duties at once. Arther had been the night man for several years in Comanche and resigned in early October.
