Mrs Chas Meyers a 28 year Comanche resident died after a year long illness at home. Born April 6 1850 in Kentucky she lived as a frontier child in Missouri and Colorado before moving to Pueblo then Hico and finally Comanche. Survived by six children and siblings, funeral at Church of Christ and Oakwood Cemetery.

Train narrowly misses car at crossing near Cotton Belt yard
Last Monday afternoon Mrs. T. R. Holmsley drove to the Cotton Belt stock pen and back. A switching train appeared on the crossing just as she emerged from behind a compress platform. She leaped from the car inches from the engine and escaped with only bruises. A brakeman halted the unattended vehicle before damage occurred.

Autos Collide At Street Crossing In Local Incident
Monday afternoon about six thirty at the corner near H. N. Goodson's residence a Ford driven by Stepha Clark and a Dodge driven by Miss Minnette Jennings collided as both slowed near a stop. The Ford was only slightly bent the Dodge suffered no damage and both drivers were badly frightened. This marks a second accident at this corner in the past year with a previous collision involving Sellars Thaxton and Mr. Lemons last spring.
