Comanche Man Killed When Hit By Car
J Webb 74 of Comanche died in Dallas after being struck by a car while crossing an Oak Cliff street. The driver was Beatrico Arks 28 of 1011 South Clinton. Webb died at Methodist Hospital. Funeral in Comanche Friday at First Baptist with Oakwood Cemetery interment. He leaves five sons Lemuel Guy Gene Judd George and two daughters Buck Harris and Jack Weler, plus a sister Mrs Mary Stewart.

G C Bryson Dies Suddenly Here Saturday
Gerald C Bryson 55 material inspector for the State Highway Department and West Texas family member died of a heart attack at his Comanche residence early Saturday. Funeral services were held Sunday at Comanche Funeral Home with Dr Klingman officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery under Masonic Lodge direction. He was born July 26 1888 and survived by wife Virginia Ligon, children Hix Bryson and Ellen Kibbler, three grandchildren and several siblings.

Major Buckey Leads Comanche Squadron in Europe
Major George R. Buckey of Comanche commands a Flying Fortress squadron in the European theater. He has flown 19 missions over Nazi Europe, earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and led the unit on 1943 Schweinfurt, Flushing, and Villacoublay raids with all planes and bombs returning. Buckey’s wife Maxine and their nine month old son George Richard reside in Comanche with his parents-in-law.
