Kermit Roosevelt Named for Texas Town Founder
The Winkler County News recounts how Kermit in West Texas got its name. Theodore Roosevelt and his son Kermit are linked to the town's origin when a contest chose Kermit as a compliment to the President's family. The sketch also reflects on man’s longing for the outdoors and nature’s restorative power.
