Dr A J Gray Honored On His Ninety Birthday In Texas
Dr A J Gray a longtime Comanche physician born 1862 in Arkansas celebrated his 90th birthday on November 20 at his daughter Mrs Tom Dudley’s home. He began teaching, studied at Tulane, moved to Comanche in 1900, and cared for over 3000 babies while shaping regional medical practice.

Comanche hosts Youth Revival at Victory Baptist Church December 5 to 7 with Rodney Irby of De Leon preaching at 7 30 pm nightly. The Comanche High School Band and Choral Club perform with Christmas songs and Ramblin Texans. Roscoe Edwards Found Dead From Heart Attack
Roscoe Edwards 68 lifelong Comanche resident was found dead in his chicken yard Monday December 1 shortly after leaving home to tend his flock. He died of heart failure following a September attack and had been in poor health for over a year. Funeral services were at Comanche Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Gilham and Rev. A. M. Stone officiating. interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Survivors include children Bryan Edwards San Angelo and Mrs. Sam Norris Comanche and Mrs. Sam Phifer Comanche, plus Celeste Hodes Edwards with whom he lived and their children Weldon R L Nelmar Ray, nine grandchildren, two brothers Bob Elgin Jess Comanche, and sister Mrs Roy Rains Comanche. He was a So of John Bradford Edwards and Rosetta Kidwell Edwards born May 5 1884 in Wise County and was a Baptist from Rock Church near Blanket.
