Funeral Rites For Mrs Henry Carter Held at Newburg
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Newburg for Mrs Jennie Fletcher Carter longtime Comanche resident who died in Austin last Wednesday. Interment was at Newbury Cemetery with pallbearers J H Burton Marvin Lee Bob Carpenter Jesse Reese J C Biggs and Earl Seay. She moved to Austin nine years ago and is survived by five children two siblings and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Triplet Births Highlight First Known Caesarean Delivery
One of the triplet daughters born to Comanche couple Mrs Funice Norwood and Irven Norwood died. The largest of the three remained weak while the two others were described as pretty weak. The Caesarean delivery was performed by Dr Homer Allen with Dr Paul Wheelis and Dr C W Gray assisting. The trio weighed 10 pounds 9 ounces combined.

Hardy Jones Receives Army Discharge at Fort Sam Houston
Staff sergeant Hardy Jones, with over two years in the European Theater, received his Army discharge under the point system at Fort Sam Houston Texas last week. He plans to stay in Comanche with plans for the future remaining indefinite. Also discharged veteran Boyd Anthony, formerly of Camp Fannin Tyler, has returned to work as vice president of the State National Bank of Comanche.
