A united Thanksgiving service is set for Wednesday night at 7:30 at the Comanche High School auditorium. More than 100 will participate in songs and readings as community groups join in a prayerful event led by land Fagan with R C Lec ter delivering the sermon.

Youth Charged With Murder In Dugout Death
A grand jury in Comanche County returned an indictment Wednesday charging 18 year old Joc k Barton with murder in the death of J. D. Couch Sr. at his dugout home last August. District Attorney Bill Allen said Barton killed Couch in malice aforethought by striking him with a shotgun butt. Couch’s partly buried body was found August 16 with wrists tied and a head wound. Barton was arrested in Comanche jail after a burglary charge. If the term ends next week, trial on the murder count likely won’t occur until next April’s term.

Two County Youths Enlist in Regular Army
