Mrs. R. H. Reid Dies After Long Illness at Proctor

Mrs. Sara Louis Maxwell Reid aged 99 died at her Proctor home after several months of illness. She married Rayford Reid in 1869 and moved to Texas in 1875. Survived by her husband, ten children, twenty five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral at Grahams Chapel with Rev. Gordon Barrett and Rev. Penn Meroney officiating.

Leaves For Kansas City and Chicago

C M Carraway Jr and two Dublin High School students won a stock judging contest at A&M and earned a free trip to Kansas City. From there he will travel to Chicago for the Fat Stock Show prize funded by Amour and Company, with the Royal Stock Show in Chicago starting November 26 as a major opportunity.

Missionary Society Plans Thanksgiving Box Packing

The women's Missionary Society of the Baptist church will pack a Thanksgiving box for Buckner Orphan’s Home next Monday afternoon at three o'clock at the church. Other donations will be gratefully received.

Mrs J B Chilton hosted the Tuesday Bridge club on November 10 at her home with Roses Chrysanthemums and Dahlias as decorations. Prizes went to Mrs W M Durham for high club score and to Mrs Ransom for high guest score. guest of honor Mrs John Coe of Oklahoma City received a hand painted oil cloth pillow.

Birthday Party Honors Elizabeth Tate at 13th Birthday

Miss Maude Roberson and Mrs. Geo W Tate hosted a Wednesday party on November 10 honoring Elizabeth Tate, their daughter, for her 13th birthday. The home featured chrysanthemums roses and ferns with games music and dancing. Refreshments included punch peach pie and a birthday cake with thirteen candles for the guests and honoree.
