Comanche Chapter of the American Red Cross runs a free sewing room in the Texas and Light Building for British relief. Volunteers begin with hospital shirts dresses and baby clothes and rotate daily supervisors including Mrs Vasco Lee chairwoman and others.

Three Comanche County youths enlist in U S Army branches
Three more Comanche County boys have joined the Regular Army and been assigned to Air Corps at Kelly Field Texas and Infantry at Fort Sam Houston Texas. Ralph S Peters Truman A Hornsby and William R Steele are the new enlistees with postings in Air Corps and Infantry. Additional vacancies exist in the Air Corps Puerto Rican Detachment and at Barksdale Field Louisiana and Fort Sam Houston Medical Department. Sergeant William J Hess of Brownwood recruited them. he will be in Comanche each Tuesday from 10 to 12 for interested locals.

Due to wet grounds the Negro football game between Stephenville and Breckenridge teams in Comanche tonight has been postponed. Turkey Market Closes Saturday At Comanche Market
About six to seven carloads of dressed turkeys are to be shipped from Comanche by Saturday the final day of the Thanksgiving market.
