Sunrise Memorial Services Planned by Veterans May 30
Veterans groups plan Sunrise Memorial Services on Memorial Day to honor all wars. The 6 a.m. program on the East Side of the square features Rev. Arthur Johnson as speaker, with invocations and benediction by local clergy and a tribute on the honor roll. Afterward, veterans will decorate graves at Oakwood and nearby cemeteries.

City Softball Opens Tuesday in Comanche League
Plans are underway for the 1952 Comanche Softball League opening Tuesday May 27 with Beattie defending City champs meeting Newburg and Van Dyke facing James Motor Company. Games set for Tuesdays and Fridays with 15 cents for men 10 cents for women and students free. Opening June 5 hosts Stephenville.
