Tipton Captured After Eastham Prison Break
R C Tipton of Comanche, life term killer, surrendered to authorities after the Eastham prison farm escape. Four convicts fled Friday, leading to the deaths of Jack Peddy and a guard and injuries to several others. Tipton was previously sentenced for the January 1933 murder of Pink Milton in Comanche.

At that rate the yearly milk income would be about $150,000, with additional amounts from cream and butter sales likely bringing total earnings higher. Road hearing postponed by State Highway Commission

Government Canning Plant to Aid Comanche Community
A government canning plant will open in Comanche on the Wade Everidge lot near the jail to process fruit meat and vegetables. Operated on a toll basis with relief labor the plant will run year round if demand justifies it and will employ about fifteen workers with three shifts during berry season.
