Election day limits polling to nine boxes due to a new state law. North county residents must vote in De Leon while Comanche County stations operate at CHS gym VFW in Comanche and at Hasse Gustine Proctor Lamkin and Hazel Dell. Appeals Court Upholds Burglary Conviction in Moya Case
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals on Wednesday April 24 affirmed Pedro Moya's burglary conviction and two five year probated terms. Moya argued trial error for not quashing the indictment due to alleged Mexican American grand jury exclusion in Comanche County. The court noted Mexican Americans are a small county share and stayed the conviction.
