Obituaries note the deaths of a Comanche automobile mechanic on April 8 and a retired farmer William Jackson Hall on April 13 with interments in local cemeteries. The district court scene includes divorce filing between Florence E. Tucker Pumphrey and John W. Pumphrey and multiple receivership petitions involving Coastal States Gas Producing Company and others, plus an injunction against City Court proceedings. Marriage and vehicle registration records list couples and a baker’s dozen of 1959 and 1969 model cars registered in Comanche and nearby towns.
