Land deed chain links Comanche to Coryell history in 19th century
An 1862 deed shows Comanche land transferred to T. Tyler of Coryell County for 7609 dollars. The record cites county officials J. M. Green and a commission court with members McKinzie Farmer and Welch. The property saw buildings around 1875 and taxation in 1882, with subsequent sales to N Lasker and T C Hill in 1889 and to Comanche Loan and Improvement Co in 1890. The area later joined Milam District under Robertson Colony, with government shifts noted near Nashville Texas and Cameron, and fragments like an 1852 entry from Low Price, county clerk.
